Your face is one of the first things that people notice when they meet you. Having acne scars on such a visible area can make you feel uncomfortable in public settings. If you are ready to get rid of acne scars, Fractora laser treatments are one option that you should check out today.
What is Fractora laser treatment?
Fractora laser treatment is a targeted treatment that helps to encourage collagen production in the skin. Improved collagen production leads to a more even skin tone. Your skin will look more youthful and firm after Fractora laser treatments.
How does Fractora work?
The Fractora laser treatment system has customizable fractional energy that can be targeted at specific layers of the skin. The energy level and density are also customizable. All of this comes together to allow for your problem areas to be treated in the way that will best suit each area. Surface pigmentation differences and deeper textural problems can all be treated with Fractora.
What to expect
Fractora treatments are gentle on the skin. Each treatment lasts at least 30 minutes. You won't feel the intense pain and irritation that are commonplace with chemical peels. You might feel a little sore and might have some redness where the treatments are done, but that will subside within 4 to 6 days and can be treated topically.
What is the healing process like?
The results of Fractora laser treatments aren't immediate. It will take 4 to 6 months after your treatment for your body to produce enough collagen for you to notice significant differences in your skin.
What are the benefits of using Fractora?
Fractora doesn't require a lengthy healing time. In fact, people who know you might not even realize you had a treatment done right after you leave your appointment. Fractora isn't associated with the severe adverse reactions of some other fractional lasers. People with ethnic skin can use Fractora laser treatment with very little concern about post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Spider veins can leave your legs looking unsightly. Luckily, spider veins can be treated quickly and effectively with sclerotherapy. Sclerotherapy has been around for over a century, with its modern origins traced to the mid 1800s. While the concept is not new, recent formulations of sclerosing solutions provide more effective and comfortable spider vein treatment.
What are Spider Veins?
Spider veins are small, branch-like vessels on the surface of the skin. They are commonly blue or red in color and can be found on the face or legs. spidervein
How it works:
A micro-needle is used to deliver Hypertonic saline, a FDA approved solution, directly into problem veins. Usually, the veins blanch after treatment, and then ultimately disappear. While there is immediate improvement, results continue to improve over several months, with most people seeing 80% to 90% improvement after a series of treatments.
What to expect:
A treatment typically lasts 20 minutes. Usually, 2 to 3 treatments are necessary to achieve optimal results. Immediately after the treatment, you will be asked to elevate your legs for 2 to 4 hours. Bruising, brown discoloration, or hardening of the treated vein may be noted. These symptoms are usually temporary and are part of the body's natural healing process.

Spider Vein & Varicose Vein Removal
Sclerotherapy is a simple office procedure for spider vein removal and varicose vein removal.
Sclerotherapy was developed in the 1920's. During the procedure, Sotradecol, a FDA approved sclerosing solution is injected into the varicose or spider vein through a micro-needle. The tiny needle generally causes very little pain. The vein commonly blanches and ultimately disappears. A typical treatment may last for 15 to 20 minutes and consist of multiple injections. Injection sclerotherapy frequently eliminates the need for invasive surgical procedures.
Complete correction of the treated area is not expected on the first treatment. In most cases, about 50% of the treated spider and varicose veins will be gone; however, new veins continually appear and additional treatments are generally required for optimum results. These treatments are commonly in two to three week intervals.
After vein removal you will be required to elevate your legs for a two to four hour period. This allows blood from entering the treated vein which helps keep the vein closed. Bruises around the treated areas usually disappear after the first week. A tan or brownish pigment may develop and persist for several weeks when larger varicose veins are involved. Occasionally the treated vein becomes hard to touch and darker in color. This is not a cause for concern, but actually the first step in the removal process.
Patients are generally encouraged to resume normal activities very quickly; however, heavy exercise in discouraged for the first 48 hours after vein removal treatment. Although your final results may not be apparent for several months, most patients experience an 80% to 90% improvement.
The cost of varicose vein and spider vein removal depends on the number of treatments required. Some insurance companies consider sclerotherapy to be a cosmetic procedure and will not consider it a covered benefit. However, some companies will pay benefits if your pain and discomfort impedes your normal activities. Our office manager will be happy to discuss your insurance coverage with you.

As you age, the years of laughing, smiling, talking and tanning inevitably crease your skin. These factors can leave you with lines and wrinkles. You will also start to notice that the size of your lips begins to shrink. Radiesse or other cosmetic filler injections can be used for temporary line and wrinkle removal or lip enhancement. The filler or Radiesse is injected under the surface of your skin to restore the natural contours of your face.
- No skin test required prior to injection
- Some fillers are composed of stabilized hyaluronic acid - which is a natural component of our tissue
- Instant results
- Long lasting (over 6 months)
- No animal ingredient
Cosmetic filler or Radiesse treatment takes about 30 minutes and the amount of discomfort depends on the sensitivity of the patient's skin. Lip enhancement can be uncomfortable therefore patients are offered a nerve block prior to treatment to eliminate any pain. The product is injected just below the surface of the skin with a very fine needle.
Patients may require a second visit to achieve a full correction of the area. The body will eventually absorb the product, so ongoing treatments are necessary to maintain results. If treatment is discontinued, your face will gradually return to its natural contours.
Injection-related reactions may occur such as post treatment swelling, redness, pain, itchiness, discoloration, and tenderness at the implant site. These reactions will resolve spontaneously within several days. Patients should avoid aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, e.g. Advil, prior to treatment as they will increase the risk of bruising at the injection site.
